Meet the Hardware Team
Michelle Fields, Manager/Partner/Owner/Sister
My name is Michelle Smith Fields. Everyone knows me as Missy. I have worked for the family business since 1984. I am part of the Hardware Team and one of the Paint Guys at both locations. My background is in Interior Design. I received my B.S. from Meredith College in Raleigh N.C. I am full time and split my time between our two stores. I am responsible for ordering, receiving, training, merchandising and much more. I love being part of the community. It is great seeing friendly faces and meeting new customers. I have two sons ages 15 and 17. They are both very active with soccer and karate. They are also part of the Hardware Team at each location. We made the move from True Value to Ace Hardware in March of 2012. It has been an amazing experience!! We love the changes Ace has made possible in our business. We introduced Craftsman Tools and Clark & Kensington Paints as an addition to our hardware lines. There have been some exciting changes for all of us! I love being a part of Ace! Come in & meet our team! We’d love to help!
Jeff Miles, Manager at Woodcroft Location
I am a proud graduate of both Jordan High School and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. After working over 20 years in retail hardware I have developed a passion for marketing and merchandising. My favorite area of the store is the Grill Shop. Come check out our latest offerings as we are always adding new things. I have extensive training in paint, tools, and grills. Some things I enjoy out side of work include traveling, NASCAR, just being with friends, cooking, DIY projects and going to the beach among other things.
Theresa Fanney, Manager at HWY 54 Location
Theresa Fanney is a native North Carolinian who spent 13 years moving around the country to work as the head of education in 4 different zoos. She returned to NC in 2009 to care for her ailing mother until her mother’s passing. Having gotten to know the wonderful staff at Triangle Pharmacy Ace Hardware through their excellent assistance with her mother, it was a no brainer when an opening came up at the hardware. Her time here has been wonderful.
Her hardware background came from assisting her father who was a Jack of All Trades with many DIY projects for her now 100 year old childhood home in Scotland Neck, NC. The only hardware in the town was an ACE where she and her father spent many hours scheming on ways to fix things that didn’t necessarily have a clear fix.
